Five Knights in double figures in 84-72 win over NYIT

Five Knights scored in double figures in a 84-72 win over New York Tech on Senior Night in Flushing. The win gives QC six victories in conference play, leaving them in a tie for seventh place in the ECC.
Senior Mike Liander had 10 points in a hotly contested first half that concluded with NYIT in the lead, 37-35. The Knights stormed out of the locker room to start the second half, scoring eight straight to go up 43-37. Tech bounced back to tie the score at 46 with 13:41 left on a Bryant Lassiter basket.
With QC holding a slim 63-62 edge, Martin Singleton, who scored all 13 of his points in the second half, connected from long range to ignite a 12-2 Knights run that left them in the driver's seat, ahead 75-64 with just 4:37 to play.
Liander and Edil Lacayo each had 16 points to spearhead the Knights attack. Lacayo scored 14 of his 16 in the second half while Khaleef Allicott (12), Singleton (13) and Lamont Lans (10) were the other Knights to score in double figures for the evening.
