Bridgeport ends Knights' three game win streak, 85-67

The University of Bridgeport won the battle of the Knights, defeating Queens College, 85-67, in Connecticut on Wednesday night. The loss at the hands of the Purple Knights snaps the Knights' modest win streak at three games.
Greg Tull tied the game for QC at 22 apiece with a basket 11:39 in but UB scored the next 10 points to go up 32-22 with five minutes left in the opening half. Bridgeport took control in the second half, increasing their lead to a game high 23 points with 12:02 remaining in the contest on two points from Sam Getaweh that put them on top 64-41.
Mike Liander was the Knights leading scorer for the evening with 17 points. Gerald Eugene added 11 and Khaleef Allicott and Lamont Lans each had 10 as the Knights fell to 7-17 overall and 5-10 in conference play.
