Molloy edges Knights, 81-76

A three pointer by Carl Palmer with 35 seconds left in the game was the difference in Molloy's 81-76 win over the Knights in Flushing on Saturday night. Palmer led all scorers with 26 points. Khaleef Allicott led Queens College with 21.

Edil Lacayo, who had 15 points for QC, had tied the game at 73 with his fourth three pointer of the night a minute and 13 seconds earlier. That marked the fifth time that the game had been tied in the final 20 minutes.

Allicott and Terrell Simmons had 12 and 11 points respectively in a high scoring first half that saw Molloy take a 47-45 lead into the locker room. Each team shot the ball well with Molloy connecting on over 62 percent and QC hitting on just under 52 percent of their attempts.

Simmons finished with 11 and Mike Liander added 10 for the Knights, who dropped to 4-13 overall and 2-6 in league play.
