QC led wire to wire on their way to an impressive 87-48 victory over the Mercy College Mavericks on Monday night in Fitzgerald Gymnasium. Michael Liander led four Knights in double figures with 28 points in the win.

Edil Lacayo, who earlier in the day was named ECC Rookie of the Week for the third time this season, scored six points and Liander added five in the opening 3:45 of the contest to help the Knights take a 17-0 lead. Liander finished the half with 18 points as QC took a 46-28 lead into the locker room.

The Knights scored 15 of the first 18 points of the second half to increase their advantage to 61-30 on their way to a 87-48 win. Lacayo had 14 points and three steals, Khalil McDonald added 12 points and Khaleef Allicott chipped in with 11 points and seven assists as QC moved to 4-11 overall and 2-4 against ECC competition.
