Knights guard Maalik Oliver has been selected East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for his efforts over the last seven days. Oliver averaged 17.5 points per game in helping Queens College split a pair of two point decisions at the 2nd annual Jim Clancy Tournament, hosted by Dominican College.

Maalik scored 18 points, including a basket with 1:25 remaining in the game that gave QC the lead for good in a 74-72 win over their hosts on January 2nd. The very next day he added 17 points in a 69-67 loss to Caldwell College.

Khaleef Allicott was also named to the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association's Weekly Honor Roll. He had 22 points, eight boards, six assists and six steals in the win over Domonican and 17 points in the loss to Caldwell.
