Rick Rissetto was appointed as the permanent Director of Athletics Communications in July of 2018. Rick joined the Queens College Department of Athletics in November 2017 as the Interim Director of Athletics Communications after serving a five-month term as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing for the New York Lizards of Major League Lacrosse.
No stranger to sports and to the East Coast Conference, Rick was Director of Athletic Communications at Molloy College for 15 months from August of 2015 through November of 2016. There, he oversaw a growing sports program which included 21 athletic teams and also took charge of helping redesign the Lions' athletic website. Prior to his work at Molloy, Rick was the Athletic Communications Assistant at LIU Post from March of 2014 through August of 2015, helping that department with a number of different sports including football, swimming and diving, wrestling and lacrosse to name a few.
Rick is an accomplished public address announcer, having plied his craft for the last decade going back to his days in high school. Rick has announced games for a myriad of colleges in the New York Metro region and was also the public address announcer for several games of the World Baseball Classic qualifier in Brooklyn in September of 2016. He has worked with the Brooklyn Cyclones for the last three summers as scoreboard operator and fill-in public address announcer.
Rick graduated from Hofstra University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in communications and minors in English and History. He then attended Southern New Hampshire University and graduated with a master's degree in Sport Management in March of 2015. Rick is currently working on receiving his online M.B.A. from Southern New Hampshire, as well. He currently resides in Floral Park, N.Y.
