Ward, El-Sayed Reach Round of 32 at Temple Fencing Invitational
The Queens College fencing team kicked off its 2011-12 campaign Saturday afternoon, as the Knights competed at the 32nd Annual Temple Open. Both Haley Ward and Lylah Nashwa El-Sayed advanced to the round-of-32 in their respective disciplines.

The National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) released its annual NCAA Division II Collegiate Power Rankings recently, and Queens College of the City University of New York is tabbed as the No. 61 institution in the tally.

Fencing Competes at NIWFA Championships; Eight Knights Qualify for NCAA Regional Championship
The Queens College fencing team competed Mar. 5 at the National Intercollegiate Women’s Fencing Association Championships, held at Johns Hopkins University, and the Knights placed a respectable 13th place in the 19-team field. Additionally, eight Knights fencers qualified for next weekend’s NCAA Regional Championship.

Four Knights Qualify For NCAA Regionals in SIT Meet
The Queens College Women’s Fencing team traveled to compete in the Stevens Invitational Tournament this past Sunday, February 13th. The Knights walked away with a win against FDU as well as a handful of NCAA Regional qualifiers.

Haley Ward Places 6th at NIWFA's Christmas Invitational
Haley Ward advanced through all four of the elimination rounds, racking up 14 wins and only 4 losses, and became the first QC Knight to make it into the tournament's final round. Ward finished 6th overall in a pool of 50+ fencers.
