Salanitri and Eyerman Chosen to ECC All-Conference Teams for Baseball
The East Coast Conference released the names for its All-Conference teams for baseball on Thursday, and a pair of Knights found their names on the lists as Joe Salanitri (West Islip, N.Y.) was selected All-ECC First Team; while John Eyerman (Merrick, N.Y.) took home Second Team accolades.

Queens Baseball Senior Muller Singles Home Game-Winner in Ninth
The Knights baseball team have had a flair for the dramatics on occasion this season. On Senior Day, Knights senior Danny Muller singled in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth to beat Molloy College in walk-off fashion 4-3.

The Queens College baseball team had the unenviable task of having to sweep Molloy in the final series of the year to clinch a post-season appearance, and the daunting obstacle came to an end on Saturday with a pair of doubleheader losses to the Lions, 7-3 and 12-10.

Francis Chopper Wins Game For Knights Baseball in Extras
The Knights started a must-win four game set against the Molloy College Lions with a ray of hope at Ray Metski Field on Friday afternoon. The 10th inning 3-2 victory gave the Knights their ninth ECC win, putting them just three back of Molloy with three to play in the weekend series.

The Knights sent Peter Cappiello (Glen Cove, N.Y.) to the mound on Sunday to try and salvage the final game of the series with St. Thomas Aquinas, but the Spartans proved too much for the Knights, prevailed 9-3, in a game played at Ray Metski Field.

Looking to keep pace in the East Coast Conference standings, the Queens College baseball team split the season series against the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights after losing the final game of the series 6-1 yesterday afternoon. The loss puts Queens at 7-5 in the ECC and 11-17 overall.
