C.W. Post rallies to beat the Knights, 5-2

The Knights led 2-1 after seven innings but lost, 5-2, to C.W. Post on Wednesday afternoon in Flushing. Post scored a run in the eighth to tie the game and three in the ninth to win it.

Post got on the board first when Eddie Bartley led off the game with a double and later scored on a double play. QC answered right back on a run scotring ground out off of the bat of Jared Stoler that scored David Fisher.

The score remained tied until the bottom of the fifth when QC broke the deadlock with a single by Anthony Delury that drove home Jeffrey Gomez with the Knights second run of the day. Knights starter Daniel Kupec held C.W. Post at bay until the eighth when Bryan Bonin scored on a throwing error to even the score at two apiece. Kupec and reliever Tim Francis were then touched for three runs on five hits in a decisive ninth inning.
