Two hits apiece for Stoler and Gerena in 7-1 loss at AU

Jared Stoler and Noel Gerena, Jr. each had two hits for the Knights in a 7-1 loss to Adelphi University on Wednesday afternoon in Garden City, New York. QC had 10 hits but left seven men in scoring position.
With one out in the top of the first, Stoler singled to right center. David Fisher followed with a single to left, giving the Knights runners on first and second for their clean-up hitter, Carlos Suarez, who hit into a fielder's choice that erased Fisher at second base. Gerena then singled to centerfield, scoring Stoler with the game's first run.
It didn't take Adelphi long to respond. In the bottom of the inning they strung together three consecutive singles, followed by a fielder's choice and a double to take a 3-1 lead. AU added an unearned run in the fourth inning and put the game out of reach with three more in the sixth.
