Knights out-hit by Molloy in 18-8 loss

The Knights' 14 hits were trumped by Molloy's 23 in a 18-8 loss on a chilly Monday afternoon in Flushing, New York. Luis Rojas had four of the Knights hits and Jeffrey Gomez their lone long ball in a loss to an ECC opponent.
Molloy put together a two out rally by stringing together a walk and three hits in putting two runs up on the scoreboard in the top of the first. The visitors took a 7-2 lead into the fifth before QC scored four runs to cut their deficit to 7-6. However, Molloy answered with seven runs - five unearned - in the sixth to take command of the game.
Noel Gerena, Jr. had three hits while Matt Ortiz went two for five with two RBIs and Tom Mercantante was two for four for the Knights in addition to Rojas' four hits.
