Dominican rallies to beat QC, 6-5

Dominican College rallied from a 5-2 deficit to hand the Knights a 6-5 loss on Tuesday afternoon in Flushing, NY. Carlos Suarez and Jason Espinal each drove in two runs for QC.
Suarez drove in David Fisher with the game's first run in the Knights half of the first inning. Dominican took the lead back in the third when Alexi Colon drove a low liner past the outstretched glove of Suarez at first base to knock in a pair of runs. Knights starter Brian Friedman stopped the bleeding by inducing Danny Porras to fly out to right with the bases loaded to end the inning with DC ahead 2-1.
QC regained the lead with three runs in the fourth and one in the fifth inning. Espinal (2), Suarez and catcher Tom Mercantante were responsible for driving in those runs, putting the Knights in front, 5-2.
Dominican responded with a pair of runs in the seventh to cut the Knights lead to one run and then overtook QC with two more in the eighth.
Suarez and Noel Guerena each had two hits and David Fisher scored two runs and stole two bases for Queens College. Friedman got the no-decision, pitching 6.2 innings while yielding seven hits and three earned runs.
