Bats still quiet in 5-0 loss at Concordia

Concordia College shut out Queens College, 5-0, in Bronxville, New York on Sunday afternoon in an East Coast Conference clash. The Knights have now gone 16 innings without pushing across a run.
A lead-off double in the second by designated hitter Jeffrey Gomez and another lead-off double by right fielder Luis Rojas were the only offense QC could muster on the day. Single runs in the first and second innings gave Concordia a 2-0 edge. Two more runs in the sixth and one in the eighth rounded out the scoring for the day.
Kyle Contino was charged with four earned runs and touched for seven hits in seven innings as he was saddled with the loss.
