FLUSHING, N.Y. (Aug. 27, 2018) - The 2018-19 athletic calendar kicks off this week with a flourish, as the Queens College Knights open the year at home with a soccer doubleheader on Thursday!  Here's what else is happening this week in the world of QC Athletics:

NOTES: The year kicks off with very strong competition all around as women's soccer hosts Saint Rose at 3 p.m. on Thursday followed by the men's soccer team in action against St. Michael's at 5 p.m. The rest of the week sees the Knights travelling for competitions with volleyball opening its season on Friday (Aug. 31) at the ESU Invitational on the campus of East Stroudsburg University. The cross country teams will commence their fall campaign at the second annual Adelphi Panthers XC Invitational in Bethpage on Friday as well, while both soccer teams will travel this weekend for away match-ups. The men's team plays Franklin Pierce under the New Hampshire lights at 7 p.m. on Saturday and the women's soccer team treks to New Jersey to face off with Bloomfield College at 1 p.m.
