NOTES: Spring sports are in full swing for the Queens College Knights, with the softball team beginning its season on Tuesday at New Haven before heading down to Florida for a weeklong trip of games in both Clermont and Leesburg. The Knights will play teams such as Saint Michael's, Ferris State and Barry down in the Sunshine State to open the 2018 spring campaign. The QC baseball team hosts Southern Connecticut State on Tuesday and the women's lacrosse team hosts AIC on the same day; both games are home openers for the two squads. From there, the baseball team heads to West Virginia for a three-game weekend set with the Rams of Shepherd University while women's lacrosse travels to Caldwell on Thursday and to Post University on Saturday.
The QC men's tennis team hosts Adelphi and Jefferson on Thursday and Friday, respectively, before heading to Florida next week for six matches in six days beginning on Mar. 12. The Knights can head to Florida with an unblemished record if the team records victories over the Panthers and Rams in regional action. Finally, the QC fencing team concludes its season at the NCAA Regional Tournament at Brandeis University on Sunday morning.
